Global Support and Development (GSD) is looking for a dynamic Central American Partnerships Manager to lead our outreach and build powerful alliances that strengthen disaster resilience across the region. Based in Charlotte with up to 50% travel, you’ll be the face of our mission, cultivating essential relationships with both public and private sectors to turn shared goals into rapid response reality. Requirements

  • Five (5) or more years of progressive work experience in partner/stakeholder management and engagement in Central America, preferably in the humanitarian sector, to include any/all of the following: Partnership identification, outreach, and cultivation; Design and management of partner agreements and events; and/or Supporting donor-funded projects to advance rapid response and resilience. Desirable lived experience in the region
  • Three (3) or more years experience operating in partner/stakeholder management preferably in an international context
  • Proven experience developing programs and teams
  • BA in humanitarian affairs, communications, marketing, international relations, public relations or related field; or Equivalent combination of relevant experience and training
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Spanish or French required
  • Ability to work with partners and translate shared objectives into operational delivery and, at times, respond quickly to changes in short-term priorities
  • Ability to identify and build processes required to support effective partnerships
  • High-level communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including presentation ability
  • Cultural awareness and the ability to work collaboratively with a wide array of stakeholders to build relationships
  • Discernment for confidentiality in relation to organizational, partner, and donor activities and communications
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to rapidly shift tasks
  • Experience working and/or traveling domestically and internationally

Nice To Haves

  • Masters of Public Administration (MPA) or a degree in a related field is desirable
  • Certificate in project management is desirable

Responsibilities

  • Engage with project and organizational leadership to ensure shared vision and strategy for partnership development and relationship management
  • Develop and implement an outreach plan for designated countries within the Central American portfolio, working collaboratively with key internal stakeholders across departments, and regional experts
  • Manage existing partnership relationships, including day-to-day planning and engagement, as well as build new partnerships through stakeholder mapping, partner cultivation, and effective partnership management
  • Drive regional alignment by developing shared tools and standardized processes, providing the necessary support and cross-coverage to maintain partnership continuity
  • Monitor and analyze humanitarian, rapid response, and community resilience partnership trends ensuring that the GSD’s partnership proposition remains compelling and relevant to GSD’s mission and the region
  • Identify gaps and opportunities in coordination with partners, and activate resources to translate shared objectives into action
  • Synthesize GSD’s programs into clear, compelling presentations, proposals, and reports for public and private sector audiences which position GSD as a trusted, reliable, and respected partner in the humanitarian and development sectors
  • Identify and support the coordination of GSD’s partner engagement activities to promote the services of the organization, including philanthropic actions
  • Help facilitate internal GSD and external partner-focused communication, including updates on relationship development, engagement opportunities and outcomes, and annual impacts
  • Maintain Customer Relationship Management (CRM) records for partner portfolios and disseminate results and success stories for internal and external audiences
  • Prompt and action GSD’s core values of accountability, humility, and integrity in all work we conduct
  • Promote good stewardship of financial and other resources to achieve maximum benefit to those impacted by disaster or at risk of impact
