About The Position

North Texas Job Corps Center is seeking a licensed mental health professional (LCSW or Licensed Psychologist – PhD/PsyD) to provide clinical services to students ages 16–24. This position focuses on assessment, crisis intervention, and brief therapy for young adults with complex and often trauma-related histories who are actively working toward positive life changes. This is a 1099 independent contractor position working in collaboration with the on-site psychologist. About the Center North Texas Job Corps Center serves up to 550 students enrolled in career technical training programs. Our mission is to help students develop the skills, confidence, and independence needed for long-term success. We offer a collaborative team environment focused on student growth and wellness.

Requirements

  • Active Texas license as an LCSW or Licensed Psychologist (PhD or PsyD)
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working with adolescents and/or young adults (ages 16–24)
  • Strong clinical, diagnostic, and written communication skills
  • Experience with trauma-informed care

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in residential, school-based, or community mental health settings
  • Familiarity with North Texas community mental health resources

Responsibilities

  • Conduct clinical interviews and diagnostic assessments
  • Provide crisis intervention and stabilization services
  • Deliver brief, solution-focused psychotherapy
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Collaborate with center staff, instructors, and leadership
  • Provide mental health training for staff as needed
  • Coordinate referrals and connect students to community resources
  • Opportunities for longer-term therapy may be available depending on caseload.
