About The Position
Lionsgate Academy Charter School in North St Paul, MN is seeking a Center Based Paraprofessional for its school transition program for students on the autism spectrum. Staff in this role will work with higher behavior students living with autism and provide various levels of personal care. The position is scheduled for a day shift, from 7:45 AM to 4:15 PM, with no nights or weekends required.
Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent
- Ability to operate a computer and the software necessary to complete the required job tasks
- Valid driver’s license/ability to transport students via school vehicle (must have 3 or less moving violations in the last three years and no DWI/DUI convictions within the past 5 years)
Nice To Haves
- 2 year degree or a minimum of 60 college credits OR successful completion of the ParaPro exam
- Knowledge and experience working with students on the autism spectrum and low incidence disabilities
- One year previous experience in a middle school, high school setting or transition setting
- Knowledge and experience working with Google Apps
Responsibilities
