About The Position

The Center Coordinator – Aging Services plays a central role in ensuring high-quality, welcoming, and responsive programs for older adults and adults with disabilities. This position coordinates daily center operations, supervises volunteers, assists with transportation services, and builds strong community connections to expand access to resources. The coordinator serves as both an administrative lead and hands-on support, ensuring programs run smoothly and meet the needs of participants.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in human services, social services, public health, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in community programs, senior services, disability services, human services, or a related field required
  • Strong organizational, scheduling, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel); database experience preferred.
  • Ability to learn new software and systems quickly.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, linguistic, ability, and age backgrounds.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of experience working with older adults, people with disabilities, or in human services.
  • Experience coordinating volunteers preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with The Center 55+ Program Manger to support day-to-day operations of The Center 55+, including scheduling, logistics, and communications.
  • With the oversight of the Program Manager, ensure that programming aligns with the organization’s mission, goals, and funder requirements.
  • Collaborate with Program Manager to create new programming, and work with Development on fundraising efforts.
  • Create The Center 55+ Newsletters with support from the Digital Media and Communications Coordinator.
  • Execute emergency communications and notifications to program members.
  • Use MySeniorCenter software to track participation and attendance for reporting and funding.
  • Collaborate with community partners to promote, expand, and strengthen services for seniors and adults with disabilities, including outreach and engagement with NH’s HRSN program.
  • Collaborate with the Development & Community Engagement team to conduct outreach and represent The Center at community events, meetings, and workshops.
  • Supervise, schedule, and train volunteer staff for the center
  • Provide day-to-day oversight and coaching to ensure program quality.
  • Support a positive, inclusive, and respectful environment for staff, volunteers, and participants.
  • Maintain accurate databases, records, and reporting (MySeniorCenter, Calendar, MS Office).
  • Track and report programs’ measurable outcomes and client services.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal policies and external regulations.
  • Uphold client confidentiality and organizational standards.
  • Opening and closing duties of The Center 55+ as needed.
