About The Position

Titan Florida LLC has an opening for a Equipment Operator for the Pennsuco Cement Plant in Medley, Fl. This is a wage non-exempt position and will report to the Yard Supervisor.

Requirements

Previous heavy equipment operating experience
Knowledge of equipment operation and industry practices.
Experience with bulldozers, excavators, loaders, bobcat, forklift and backhoe.
A valid driver’s license
Safety-minded
Knowledge of workplace safety practices.
Able to walk, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk and hear.
Ability to work well with others.
Capable of working in confined spaces.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Experienced Miner in MSHA Part 46 – preferred.
Previous mining experience is a plus.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform an adequate pre-shift inspection of equipment and report any safety hazards and/or concerns promptly.
Maintain equipment to OEM specifications and in good working order.
Fill out all required safety forms prior to starting their assignment and submit it to supervision in a timely fashion, .
Operate bulldozers such as Komatsu D65 and Caterpillar D6 class. Must be able to carry grade.
Operate excavators such as Komatsu PC490 and Caterpillar 349 class.
Operate front end loaders such as Komatsu WA500, WA600 and WA900’s.
Operate haul trucks such as Komatsu HM400 or Volvo A45G class.
Must be able to work multiple pieces of equipment in a day based on the needs of the operation.
Assist with the required preventive maintenance on the equipment to include greasing and fueling equipment.
Perform all tasks as directed by the supervisor or their designee. Alternate duties may include shoveling, washing, housekeeping, or maintenance activities when directed.
Perform grade work and clearing as directed.
Abide by all company policies, safety and MSHA regulations.
