About The Position

BASIC FUNCTION: The Cell Leader, under moderate supervision, in addition to the responsibilities of the assembler is responsible for scheduling production, ensuring the required materials are available for the cell, problem solving and providing performance feedback on cell members to the Production Supervisor. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Specific duties of the Cell Leader will include, but not be limited to: Schedules and prioritizes orders through cells. Distributes schedules and shop orders to appropriate cells. Reviews in-process defect sheets and records totals on cell summary sheets. Posts quality and delivery data on cell boards. Reviews the demand exception report daily and makes necessary adjustments Reviews and posts monthly, weekly, and daily service level results. Takes corrective actions to achieve service level expectations. Handles shortage, rush, and special production issues. Provides performance appraisal input to supervisors. Provides corrective actions for operator error classified Customer Quality Concerns (CQC’s). Maintains the integrity and accuracy of the cell takt time boards. Fills in for absent employees or employees temporarily out of the cell. Responsible for cell housekeeping and 5S program support. Works with supervisor to coordinate vacation schedules. Prepares and files CS packages. Acts as scheduling coordinator contact. Assures cell compliance to ISO. Assures cell associate compliance with standard work. Assists supervisor in the training of cell associates. #LI-PW1

Requirements

  • Experience of electrical panel assembly in a manufacturing environment
  • Manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong influence and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent planning & organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Aptitude for operating a computer keyboard.
  • Aptitude for working from blueprints, engineering drawings, and customer orders.
