AWW Shift Hours are Friday, Saturday & Sunday 6 AM-6PM Training will be on 1st shift for ~ 3 months What You Will Do: The Cell Leader - AWW will provide leadership and direction with emphasis on team building through employee meetings, effective communications, and in developing an efficient team that is responsible for engine assembly. Establish standards and expectation for work effort and performance for subordinates. Give constant feedback on performance to those standards. Communicate with other department personnel and customers to ensure customer satisfaction and actively to address issues and engage the workforce in achieving production goals. Allocate and assigning resources, coach employees to improve performance when needed, perform administrative functions as related to bargaining unit employees including maintaining training, quality, and attendance records and manage cell overtime and equitably distribute among employees. Ensure that all employees are fully trained in required aspects of Environmental Health & Safety, World Class safety culture is maintained and respond to all Environmental Health & Safety requirements promptly and department equipment is clean, properly maintained, records and labels properly affixed, and uptime optimized while meeting all safety requirements. Ensure full involvement in continuous improvement initiatives is consistently upheld. Utilize continuous improvement tools to improve production, performance, and reduce scrap, rework, and repair. Achieve continuous improvement levels as planned. Ensure compliance to all Quality policies and procedures. Control quality, productivity, and process flow to meet customer Material Requirement Planning (MRP) requirements while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum 2 years experience in an engineering, manufacturing, operations, production, quality or related industrial environment OR Associate's degree and minimum 4 years' experience in an engineering, manufacturing, operations, production, quality or related industrial environment
  • In absence of a degree, 6 or more years' experience in an engineering, manufacturing, operations, production, quality or related industrial environment
  • Experience in MS Office applications, specifically MS PowerPoint and Excel

Nice To Haves

  • STEM degree
  • Experience as a team lead
  • Continuous improvement certificates/training such as 6 sigma practitioner/Professional certification.
  • Understanding of Environmental Health & Safety principles
