About The Position

Develop manufacturing process: lead, engineer line layouts and Implement the Battery Manufacturing processes and launch manufacturing facilities. Processes specific to Formation, Capacity as well as other processes such as electrode (mixing, coat, press, slit), Cell Assembly (notch, dry, stack, weld, package), Work closely with OEM's in the design of manufacturing equipment, process and tooling Collaborate with automation and other technology partners to develop competitive solutions for productivity Understand and own ROI. Deliver a Control plan per the quality strategy. Develop Assembly system solutions including workstation requirements (work content, automated versus manual, buffering strategy, redundancy requirements, etc.) Manage schedule and budget. Support plant operations to achieve System performance objectives OEE, Cycle time / JPH et all Enable successful process and system transition to plant operations. Provide relevant process documentation (drawings, PM plans, spare parts, training manuals etc Provide plant assistance to support launch requests and extraordinary needs w/existing cell suppliers. Established and active employee resource groups

Requirements

  • Engineering degree (PhD's preferred)
  • Understanding/experience of overall manufacturing processes (Battery preferred) and manufacturing business acumen.
  • minimum 5+ years on major projects
  • Experience Implementing large scale Projects as a manufacturing engineer or project manager on new specialized manufacturing lines
  • Experience with Simulation tools, Digital methods: AutoCad / Siemens PLM etc. developing layouts in AutoCAD, mechanical design stack up understanding highly desirable.
  • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills
  • Travel and mobility with short term relocation / ability to work remote is key.
