About The Position

We are seeking a passionate and motivated Cell Culture Scientist to join our Neuroscience team. Our group uses cutting‑edge cell culture systems to investigate neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s Disease, Parkinson’s Disease, and ALS, and to discover potential therapeutics. In this role, you will support these efforts by maintaining cell cultures, performing cell‑based and biochemical assays, and contributing directly to ongoing drug discovery programs. This position is ideal for someone eager to deepen their scientific expertise in a collaborative, mission‑driven environment.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Biological Sciences (Cell Biology, Neuroscience, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Immunology, Biochemistry, or related field).
  • 2–4 years of relevant laboratory experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in aseptic technique and mammalian cell culture (iPSC experience is a plus).
  • Familiarity with molecular biology techniques (e.g., qPCR, Western blotting, immunofluorescence).
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to troubleshoot.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and operate both independently and within a team.
  • Willingness to learn new techniques and expand technical expertise.

Nice To Haves

  • Background or strong interest in neurodegenerative disease research.
  • Hands-on experience with iPSCs and neuronal differentiation.
  • Experience using electronic laboratory notebooks (ELNs).
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without restriction.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and expand multiple mammalian cell lines, including primary neuronal cultures.
  • Perform cell-based functional assays in support of neuroscience drug discovery programs.
  • Measure cellular and biochemical parameters using: Microscopy
  • Live fluorescence imaging
  • Immunocytochemistry
  • Calcium imaging
  • Morphology assessments
  • Live/dead viability assays
  • Perform assays such as AlphaScreen, ELISA, MSD, and SDS-PAGE.
  • Prepare solutions, buffers, and culture media as needed.
  • Process, analyze, and report experimental data under supervision.
  • Document all work in an electronic laboratory notebook (ELN) in accordance with quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient laboratory environment.
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines.
