About The Position

Provide assistance to the CEJA Aurora Network Hub team in their efforts to create usable workspaces.

Assist in light cleaning tasks to prepare the Aurora Workforce Hub for light renovation work.
Under the instruction and supervision of a staff member, prep walls (light cleaning, spackling, sanding) for painting.
Under the instruction and supervision of a staff member, paint the office space, classrooms, conference rooms, restrooms and the inside exterior walls of these spaces.
Under the supervision of a staff member, assist in moving furniture to set up classroom spaces.
Light construction as needed (assembling of stools, work tables, etc.)

Requirements

• THIS IS A STUDENT JOB.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours for Fall/Spring semester or 1 credit hour for Summer semester, acceptable remedial courses or continuing education courses, such as the CEJA Program.
• Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above.
• If a first semester student, GPA requirement is waived.
• COD Training
• Compliance Training
• Ability to lift and move up to 30-40 lbs.
• Ability to stand, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
• Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
