Position Overview Woolpert is hiring a Construction, Engineering, & Inspection (CE&I) Team Lead to join our dynamic CE&I at our Indianapolis, IN office. This position reports to the CE&I Discipline Leader and is responsible for overseeing and managing construction inspection activities, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all relevant standards and regulations. You will lead a team of inspectors, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure the highest quality of work. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position. Applicants must already possess work authorization in the country the job is located.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction inspection, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
  • Proficiency in using inspection tools and software.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various job sites as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license, state certifications, and/or other relevant certifications preferred
  • Experience with large-scale infrastructure projects preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of construction engineering inspectors.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and safety standards.
  • Review and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contracts.
  • Document and report inspection findings, including any deviations from project requirements.
  • Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure project success.
  • Provide training and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and regulations.

  • Pay Range $106,400 - $147,800 USD
