TrendMicro.com Position Summary: The CDW Public Sector Channel Lead will own Trend Micro’s strategic relationship with CDW Government (CDWG) across all public sector verticals, including State & Local Government, Federal Government, K-12 Education, and Higher Education. This role is responsible for developing and executing business plans, driving revenue growth, and positioning Trend Micro as the preferred cybersecurity partner for CDWG’s public sector customers. The individual will collaborate with CDW leadership, sales teams, and technical specialists to deliver joint solutions that address evolving security challenges in government and education markets.

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing CDWG-specific relationships with demonstrated success in driving growth and strategic alignment.
  • Extensive knowledge of cybersecurity-focused government contracts, procurement processes, and compliance requirements (e.g., FedRAMP, StateRAMP, NIST frameworks).
  • Hands-on experience aligning verticalized sales teams to CDWG across sales, ITS, specialty roles and leadership
  • Deep understanding of public sector buying cycles and funding mechanisms.
  • Strong knowledge of channel ecosystems and partner business models.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills at all organizational levels.
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in channel sales or account management, preferably in cybersecurity.
  • Bachelor’s degree (Business Administration or related field preferred).
  • Ability to travel up to 40% for onsite meetings and events.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for CDWG’s public sector verticals (State & Local, Federal, K-12, Higher Education).
  • Build and maintain relationships with CDWG executives, sales leaders, and technical influencers.
  • Drive partner-sourced opportunities, deal registrations, and pipeline growth across all verticals.
  • Deliver enablement programs and training tailored to CDWG’s public sector teams.
  • Collaborate on joint marketing initiatives and events to increase visibility and demand generation.
  • Align Trend Micro’s solutions with CDWG’s government and education priorities, including compliance and risk management.
  • Monitor performance metrics and ensure ROI on investments and programs.
  • Act as a trusted advisor for CDWG’s public sector customers, providing insights on cybersecurity trends and best practices.
  • Coordinate with Trend Micro’s internal teams to support CDWG’s strategic goals and accelerate growth.
