The Costco Digital Services Division is inviting students currently enrolled in an IT or related undergraduate or graduate program at a college or university to participate in a twelve -week paid internship program during 2026. Interns will work within specific areas in Costco’s Information Systems Division. Interns will attend presentations given by various members of Executive Management from IT and other areas of the Company. Interns will be responsible for their own travel and accommodation expenses. Housing is not provided. The program runs mid June to early September and is located in Issaquah, WA. No out of state work allowed. All interns will adhere to the CDS hybrid work model of three days onsite and two days remote. The ECM Platform Engineer intern will be responsible for leading the execution of modernization of the Enterprise Content Management suite of products. They will translate high level platform design into low level technical design and execute delivery. The Platform Engineer will work closely with the Solution Architect to enable the capabilities defined on the roadmaps and blueprints supporting platform programs and initiatives. The ECM Platform Engineer is well versed in modern infrastructure platforms and actively works on implementing code which improves the reliability and scalability of infrastructure. NOTE: While participating in the IT Internship program, an individual will be classified as an hourly temporary employee for the duration of the program. During the program, the individual may be asked to undergo the normal interview process for a level 1 position. If the individual is offered a position, they will be converted to the employment status matching open job they were selected for. If they are not selected for a regular position, the internship position will be complete in a maximum of twelve weeks.

Requirements

  • Experience with Cloud Platforms, Data Integration and end to end development and delivery roles and responsibilities.
  • Experience designing and implementing Agile or DevOps processes.
  • Proficient with OS utilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possess good organizational, time, and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize, and stay well organized.
  • Currently maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Students currently enrolled in an IT or related undergraduate or graduate program at a community college, college or university.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation Technologies (FileNet P8 Content Services, Datacap, IBM Content Collector, IBM Content Collector for SAP, IBM Navigator, Business Automation Workflow), Adobe Workfront
  • Experience with related ECM solutions (such as Documentum, OpenText, SharePoint)
  • Experience with RedHat OpenShift, Docker/Container, MS Azure, IaaS or PaaS solutions.
  • Experience with CI/CD orchestration tools e.g., Jenkins, Maven or similar CI/CD.
  • Experience supporting products running on Linux or Windows servers.
  • Experience with WebSphere Platform and application deployments.
  • Proficient in Google Workspace applications, including Sheets, Docs, Slides, and Gmail.
