About The Position

Steelhead Bar & Grille is currently hiring for part time CDS/Expo positions. Steelhead Bar & Grille offers casual dining with a Northwest flair. Locally owned and in downtown Spokane, we cater to locals and tourist alike. Our customers come from all walks of life and from all over the world. We are looking for staff members that have the desire to bring our customers the best possible dining experience. Our staff is professional, fun and understands what it means to provide quality food and service. They have their own unique style and flair. Whenever possible, Steelhead Bar & Grille makes every effort to promote local businesses and bring locally sourced, Northwest inspired flavors to the table.

Requirements

Washington State Food Worker Card (WSFWC)
Washington State MAST/Class 12 or 13
One (1) year previous restaurant service experience preferred
Willing to work a flexible schedule and weekends
Ability to effectively listen to and respond to customer needs
Strong work ethic, reliable, aware of the details
Ability to multitask efficiently
Team player with a courteous, friendly and professional demeanor
Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
Ability to lift 50+ pounds

Responsibilities

Follow all policies and procedures
On time and attend all meetings
Take orders and payments from customers for food and beverages following all steps of service guidelines
Upsell by being proactive with suggestive selling and alerting customers to specials, promotional items and/or events
Deliver and announce food and drinks to guests with efficiency, accuracy, and enthusiasm
Accommodate and fulfill any special requests for guests
Communicate and work with kitchen and bar staff to ensure orders are delivered timely and according to Steelhead Bar & Grille standards
Correct any issues courteously and quickly
Check with customers throughout their meal to ensure that they are enjoying their visit and take action to correct any problems
Maintain a working knowledge of all food and drink menu items, promotions, ingredients, and prep time
Assist team members with any additional tasks as needed.
Complete all assigned opening, running, closing duties and side work
Follow all health and alcohol beverage service standards and maintain a clean workspace
Adhere to food safety, sanitation and safety guidelines
