About The Position

Universal Logistics is a leading provider of customized transportation and logistics solutions, offering a comprehensive suite of services including transportation, value-added, intermodal, and specialized services. The company is seeking local Class A Experienced CDL Drivers for immediate career opportunities in the Oakland area. The role involves driving transmission tractor trailers, specifically with van, 53" or containers, and requires the ability to drive a stick shift. Drivers will average 10-12 hours daily, working a day shift from Monday through Friday, with start times between 4:00 am and 6:00 am. The position also requires being able to travel to Reno and use snow chains during winter. Universal Logistics Holdings, Inc. is a holding company providing supply chain solutions across the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years or older
• Possess a Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Hold a Medical certificate
• Provide a Long form physical (all 4 pages)
• Possess a Social security card
• Must have an active TWIC card
• Have 6 months of manual tractor trailer work experience
• Be comfortable with snow chains and trips to Reno
• Be fluent in English
• No SAP drivers
• Ability to drive a stick shift (manual transmission)
