Job Summary: The CDL Pump Truck Driver/Operator operates the pump truck on pre-determined routes, controlling the truck's pump or similar equipment to collect waste from portable sanitation units and deposit their contents into the truck. Job Classification: Full-time non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act. Location: Conroe, TX area Pay Range: $21 to $24

Requirements

  • Valid Class A Commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record
  • Proficiency in regional lane driving and tanker operations
  • Experience with route driving and handling different types of vehicles
  • Ability to load and unload freight safely and efficiently
  • 3 years of commercial driving experience required
  • No restrictions on automatic
  • Must be at least 25 years of age or older, due to insurance requirements for operating company vehicles.
  • Must be able to work overtime and weekends during the Storm season.
  • Ability to work and drive in a variety of weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be located in the greater Conroe/Houston, TX Area

Nice To Haves

  • Must be able to drive a standard Tractor-trailer: 3 years (Preferred)
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a truck on a pre-determined route.
  • Adhere to all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures while on the road and at job sites
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, and ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Daily maintenance and cleanliness of the truck.
  • Safely and efficiently haul waste from the designated pickup facility and/or site to another facility and/or site
  • Collaborate with dispatchers and other team members to ensure efficient scheduling and address any issues that arise.
  • Notifies dispatchers and/or supervisors of delays, unsafe sites, accidents, breakdowns, or other issues and documents them.
  • Maintains logs of pickup times, daily mileage, and dump logs.
  • Perform other related duties assigned by the Route Manager.
