Administers written and road tests for Commercial/Non-Commercial Driver License (CDL) applicants and administer Special Performance Evaluations (SPE) for customers requiring special equipment in order to safely operate commercial and non-commercial vehicles. To perform commercial driver license testing in accordance with the federal regulations and guidelines. To perform co-score audits on third party CDL examiners. To provide training and guidance to driver license offices and to respond to inquiries from the public, motor carriers, school districts, internal and external entities; to assist coworkers with other areas of commercial driver licensing as needed or necessary; to maintain accurate information as it pertains to customer information; to submit reports in a timely manner. Review and interpret Arizona Revised Statutes [ARS Title 28), Federal Regulations (CFR Title 49), MVD rules, policies, and procedures related to the CDL program. May be required to travel. This position is eligible for a $4,000 hiring incentive.
