This position performs advanced-level traffic engineering for the State’s Intelligent Transportation System (ITS). This position designs, analyzes, programs, and updates systems that monitor real-time traffic conditions. Adjusts traffic light timing in response to changing traffic conditions. This position will manage complex infrastructures, including traffic controllers and smart sensors. Develops the Synchro Model program for statewide arterial roadways. This position performs electrical and lighting engineering functions. This position will require some after hours and weekend remote signal timing for planned and unplanned closures. This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.
