The Delivery Driver (CDL-A) is responsible for transporting goods safely in a commercial vehicle or box truck for various routes to deliver products or materials. Ensures exceptional customer satisfaction with each delivery made. Valid Class A CDL license required. This is an evening shift opportunity that will include $2/hr shift differential pay. Founded in 1975 by Dale P. Holt, Codale Electric Supply started with only five employees before becoming one of the most innovative and fastest-growing electrical supply distributors in the nation. Today, we are headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah and currently have branch locations in the western United States. Even though we have quite a presence in Utah, Nevada, and Wyoming, we've declared that we will not rest until we can help provide contractors throughout the nation with the supplies that they need.

Requirements

  • 6-12 months (+) of recent and verifiable commercial driving experience.
  • Familiar with FMCSA rules and regulations.
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical with current valid med card in the state licensed.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Safe driving record with customer service mindset.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Basic communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable with long periods of driving and physically demanding tasks like lifting and carrying.
  • Valid Class A CDL license required.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with local routes and traffic patterns is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently deliver products to customers as per assigned routes and schedules.
  • Assist with loading and unloading products, ensuring items are handled properly to avoid damage.
  • Plan and follow the most efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries while optimizing fuel and time.
  • Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively and professionally during deliveries.
  • Verify delivery accuracy by obtaining signatures, completing delivery logs, and reporting any issues or discrepancies.
  • Perform routine vehicle checks, report maintenance needs, and keep the vehicle clean and organized.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during deliveries.
  • Handle delivery challenges, such as incorrect addresses or customer concerns, and report unresolved issues to management.
  • Assist with basic warehouse tasks when not on delivery routes, such as organizing inventory or preparing orders.
  • Other responsibilities may be assigned.
