About The Position

The CDL Driver will increase operational efficiency, company profitability, and customer satisfaction by accurately and safely receiving, storing, and delivering materials, as well as picking and packing for pickups and delivery. This role requires a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B and adherence to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

Requirements

  • CDL Class B or higher certification
  • Ability to Obtain and Maintain DOT Medical Card
  • Ability to help with the delivery process
  • Clear MVR

  • Moffett truck experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepare truck for operation by assisting in and overseeing the loading of trucks, securing of items, and verifying the accuracy of shipping papers.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, including checking truck tires, lights, brakes, fluids, and other critical components to ensure safe and cost-effective performance.
  • Deliver orders via the most efficient route while complying with DOT regulations and ensuring timely delivery according to customer needs.
  • Maintain communication with the company during deliveries to receive any updated instructions.
  • Document delivery, accuracy, and receipt of orders by customers according to company directives, reporting any discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with all truck maintenance and driving record requirements while maintaining necessary documentation for safety, security, and quality processes.
  • Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as required.
  • Maintain a safe driving record free of violations.
  • Pull, fill, pack, and set up orders for delivery or pickup as needed.
  • Follow any special instructions pertaining to individual orders.
  • Report any quality or inventory discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.
  • Communicate positively with supervisors, sales staff, fellow workers, and customers to coordinate deliveries and pickups.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, neat, and safe facility that operates efficiently.
  • Adhere to all established company policies, safety guidelines, and DOT regulations in a drug-free workplace.
  • Present a neat and professional image.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
