Purpose and role of job: Responsible for tracking trailer movement within the Industrial Park, keeping the yard organized; perform preventative maintenance on equipment and truck. Principal Accountabilities/ Responsibilities: Observes all safety rules and uses the proper safety equipment at all times. · Follows necessary GMP, FDA, and ISO regulation/guidelines. Responsible for trailer movement within the McElhattan complex. Yard organization and housekeeping. Preventative maintenance and housekeeping of switcher truck. Adhere to Company policies and procedures. Maintains accurate yard inventories and trailer pools. Assist with security Education and experience requirements: Ability to operate safely in a fast pace environment. Strong communication and learning skills. Ability to work in a team orientated environment. Ability to operate all warehouse material handling equipment Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent required. Commercial Drivers License. Radio Frequency (RF) skills. Work Environment: Exposed to diesel fuel and fumes. Physical Requirements: Sit nearly 100% of time during a 12–hour shift. Occasional standing / walking throughout a 12–hour shift. Frequent climbing in / out of jockey trucks. Frequent pushing / pulling with arms. Constant repetitive use of right foot control. Constant repetitive use of both hands during shift. Constant simple / light grasping with frequent firm / strong grasping throughout a 12-hour shift. Operation of vehicles / heavy equipment is required throughout shift. Required participation in a daily pre-shift warm-up routine.
