About The Position

Revolution is now hiring for a Truck Driver position in Madison, WI. This role involves rotating among several duties as needed, including transporting materials from satellite warehouses to the central consolidation site in Madison, delivering and removing dumpsters at farms, collecting farm plastics, and operating a baler. The ideal candidate works well in a team setting while also being self-motivated and driven to meet goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Valid Class A CDL and insurable driving record required.
  • No more than 1 point in the last 12 months on driving record.
  • Experience in pulling and backing up trailers.
  • Essential reading and writing skills. Good communication skills.
  • Knowledge of routes assigned by the corporate dispatcher.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge for minor vehicle troubleshooting and repair.
  • Ability to periodically lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with roll-off bin loading and unloading preferred but not required.
  • Heavy equipment operating experience preferably with an excavator but not required.
  • 2 years of verifiable trucking experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Must be trained on all CDL Driver I equipment within your region.
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting mechanical issues or safety concerns.
  • Follow DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company policies at all times.
  • Responsible for prompt reporting of equipment problems to the Supervisor.
  • Follow all safety protocols and participate in ongoing safety training.
  • Follow daily routes assigned by the corporate dispatcher and perform daily refueling of equipment.
  • Perform dumpster relocations using a truck, forklift, and gooseneck trailer stacked with several dumpsters. Perform light maintenance on dumpsters with missing lids, rods, and decals.
  • Assist in baling and material handling on storage yard(s).
  • Load and transfer post-consumer agricultural plastics from collection sites.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and peers to ensure a positive experience and be accurate in operational reporting.
  • Willing to utilize baler, excavator, flat bed, pneumatic tanker, dump bed, roll-off, and dry van trailers.
  • Maintain a work area that is neat and orderly.
  • Replacing bulbs
  • Installing/replacing mud flaps
  • Replacing hoses
  • Repairing/replacing airlines
  • Communicate equipment status (repairs & service) to the lead driver and Logistics Collections Mgr.
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned.
