About The Position

The CDL Bus Driver operates a passenger bus to transport passengers along assigned routes or for scheduled trips. The driver ensures passenger safety, adheres to traffic laws, and provides a positive rider experience.

Requirements

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger (P) endorsement
• Clean driving record
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening
• Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience driving a passenger bus or similar vehicle
• Basic mechanical knowledge
• Flexible availability, including evenings or weekends

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a passenger bus in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues
• Pick up and drop off passengers at designated locations on schedule
• Assist passengers with boarding and exiting when necessary
• Maintain a clean and orderly vehicle interior
• Follow assigned routes or adjust routes as directed
• Handle unexpected situations such as traffic delays or passenger concerns professionally
• Maintain accurate logs and required documentation
• Flexible schedule is required over and above fix morning and evening routines, for example a scheduled trip to a market or grocery store
• The shift schedule is 3 hours in the morning and 3 hours in the evening. The bus runs 7 days per week rotating drivers as need be
