About The Position

The Truck Driver at BLAKLEY CORP is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of construction materials, primarily focusing on flooring and ceramic tiles, to various job sites. The role supports the company's operations by ensuring timely delivery and maintaining the quality and integrity of the materials transported.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a truck driver, preferably in the construction industry
• Proven track record of safely transporting goods, particularly flooring and ceramic tiles, as well as other construction materials
• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record
• Strong knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
• Ability to operate and maintain various types of trucks and delivery vehicles
• Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients
• Ability to load and unload materials safely and efficiently
• Familiarity with GPS and other navigation tools
• Physical stamina and strength to handle long hours of driving and heavy lifting
• Attention to detail to ensure accurate delivery of materials and adherence to safety protocols

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and drive trucks to deliver construction materials, with a focus on flooring and ceramic tiles, to designated locations.
• Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment, ensuring the safety and security of the cargo.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while maintaining a high standard of driving safety.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, site managers, and other team members to coordinate delivery schedules and address any issues that arise during transport.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or delays encountered.
• Assist with other duties as needed, including delivering materials for other trades, to support the overall efficiency and effectiveness of BLAKLEY CORP's operations.
