About The Position

This is a delivery position responsible for driving a 26ft Straight truck, delivering and unloading various products for customers. The role requires working overtime hours, weekends, and holidays, with various evening start times to successfully meet customers' needs. It involves route relay, requiring overnight stays at company-paid hotels, with drivers returning home every other day.

Requirements

Verifiable (1 or more years) experience in truck driving
NY, NJ or PA Driver's CDL A or B required
Driving record in good standing
Valid DOT Medical Card
Strong knowledge of route driving best practices and safety regulations governing commercial trucking.
Physical ability to load/unload freight manually or with equipment like liftgates, hand trucks and manual pallet jacks
Comfort working in different weather conditions.

Responsibilities

Load and unload cargo safely using equipment like hand trucks, manual pallet jacks and liftgates when necessary, ensuring proper handling of refrigerated goods.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries to ensure customer satisfaction.
Follow all traffic laws and company policies while driving long or short-haul routes to ensure safety for yourself and others on the road.
Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to confirm delivery schedules and address any route changes or delays promptly.
