About The Position
Are you looking for a delivery driver job with the opportunity to be home daily? We offer all local routes, no weekend work, and competitive pay! Rugby Architectural Building Products is a wholesale distributor of specialty building products, operating out of 26 branches throughout the United States. Our primary business is non-structural architectural grade building products sold principally to customers who create and produce end-products for the commercial, industrial, retail, residential and institutional markets. (In New Century, KS, Lebanon, TN, and Rockford, IL we do business as: Olathe Millworks, Warren Brother Sash & Door, River City Millworks respectfully. Position: We are growing and seeking a CDL A Driver! You will deliver mostly hardwood lumber and sheet stock, doors, and other supplies. This position requires you to physically load and unload product and engage with our customers.
Requirements
- History of being a truck driver, delivery driver, and especially experience with a Class A CDL.
- Interest in working for a company that values hard work and loyalty.
- Strong physical stamina this role requires a lot of physical activity.
- Highly organized and self-motivated you should be a self-starter who doesnt require constant supervision.
- Experienced driver with a Class A driver's license (CDL A) and medical card
- Able to pass drug test, background, Clearinghouse and motor vehicle pre-employment screen
- Required to pass a driving test.
- Must be able to pass a physical examination as required by the U. S. Department of Transportation and provide a valid medical card
- This role is a Safety Sensitive position and subject to routine drug screenings.
Responsibilities
- Use your CDL A license to deliver products to our customers.
- Potentially load and unload your truck, depending on the customer.
- Work safely, attend safety meetings and follow all safety procedures and policies
- Occasionally lift heavy products to store, remove from storage, or load onto a truck.
