As a Day Shift Delivery Truck Driver, no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will most likely include the following responsibilities: Demonstrating a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance Safeguarding company property, including donated goods Maintaining records such as Vehicle Logs and daily Trip Sheets Providing basic supervision for assigned Truck Helper Reporting any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles Reporting delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations to headquarters Loading and unloading trucks, vehicles, containers, and trailers. Maintaining appropriate communication with headquarters Performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections on their assigned vehicle daily. Inspecting truck equipment and supplies (such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water). All other duties based on business needs. The good news is that we have an amazing training program that will help teach you everything you need to know to be a Truck Driver.
