About The Position

Will assist in building relationships with various criminal justice and domestic violence stakeholders and provide technical assistance and training to those stakeholders/systems including, targeting professionals in the criminal justice system, judiciary, medical, and social service professionals. Will assist in implementing CCR Model principles in our community. Will provide regular reports on the domestic violence system, existing gaps and barriers, recommendations, and project progress. Will keep focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion in system’s response to domestic violence. 25% of this position will be dedicated to the role of “Inter-agency Facilitator”, assisting in the multi-center planning of the Camp HOPE America sleepaway camp.

Must be able to work with a culturally diverse community with sensitivity and professionalism
Must be able to establish trusting working relationships with professionals from other agencies

Must be willing to be flexible with schedule to meet needs of programs and training requests
Must be willing and able to attend the 5 night/6 day Camp HOPE America sleepaway camp each summer.
Bachelor’s degree required (social work, education, or a related field preferred) with a minimum of five (5) years of related experience in domestic violence field providing training and presentations.
Specialized training in diversity, equity, inclusion required.
Comprehensive understanding of the dynamics of domestic violence.
Experience collaborating at a high level with other agencies.
Domestic Violence Core Competency training plus an additional 6 hours of individualized training (30 hours total) to qualify for privilege status; must successfully pass written test
Valid Florida Driver’s License with two years driving experience, active automobile insurance and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report.
Must be able to pass and maintain a Level II background check
Moderate physical activity performing somewhat strenuous daily activities of a primarily administrative nature. Includes sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time with the ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, work with the fingers and perceive attributes of objects and materials.
One week annually at a sleepaway camp in the summer with outdoor physical activities throughout the day.
Must have reliable transportation and ability to travel to worksites, community-based meetings and events, and to sleepaway camp. Requires some out of state and in state travel.

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree preferred.
After being employed at certified domestic violence center for 2 years, becomes a Certified Core Instructor.

Responsibilities

Exhibits comprehensive understanding of the dynamics of domestic violence, violence against women, service programs, confidentiality, and privilege
Works with CCR Director to engage, develop, and maintain relationships with leaders from other agencies in the domestic violence system as well as professionals from other agencies/areas with a specific focus on those that encounter survivors regularly (7%)
Understands the criminal justice system as it specifically pertains to domestic violence
Knowledgeable on high-risk indicators in domestic violence/IPV relationships
Knowledgeable on risk factors with strangulation and partner-inflicted brain injuries
Will attend and assist in identified DV Task Force/CCR meetings as assigned and needed
Will lead/co-lead DV Task Force/CCR’s ‘Training & Education Committee’ including organization and facilitation of meetings, as well as coordination and tracking of committee’s progress on identified goals (5%)
With the CCR Director, will identify training needs in our community and develop a plan to offer trainings to other professionals, the community, and CCR team members regularly (13%)
Training described in this purpose area shall incorporate confidentiality, and privacy protections for victims of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking
Will attend any professional trainings that will help advance the program and will qualify the Trainer to be a local subject matter expert regarding systems advocacy, domestic violence, and strangulation.
Will provide training to local system partners with heavy focus on medical personnel and first responders with a focus on strangulation, and local prosecutor’s office focusing on best practices in handling DV cases.
Assist in developing training materials as needed (5%)
May entail travel to national trainings to learn from subject matter experts
Provide inter-agency peer-to-peer technical support (1%)
Identify gaps and trends in systems and bring solution focused ideas to project lead for discussion and possible implementation (1%)
Acts as liaison between system and community partners and internal agency personnel regarding service needs and provisions (5%)
Provide regularly scheduled internal trainings to Spring staff around critical areas as identified (25%)
Collaborates with other Spring Core Instructors to schedule and provide Core certification classes to new employees as needed.
Submits updates and statistical reports each month to meet the requirements of funders and the CCR team (1%)
Participates in agency activities to achieve program and agency-wide goals (1%)Provides leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skills (1%)
Coordinates with leadership from partner agencies to schedule and facilitate inter-agency Camp HOPE America collaborative meetings. (2%)
Act as primary point of contact for partner camp, to possibly include communications regarding use of facilities agreements, coordination of staff, and camp agenda/activities. (10%)
Collaborate with partner agencies to create camp agenda and coordinate/facilitate sleep-away camp activities. (10%)
Collaborate with partner agencies to coordinate purchase of camp materials and printing of Camp HOPE America curriculum. (1%)
Will attend monthly Camp HOPE America (National) webinars/calls. (1%)
Coordinate with partner agencies to facilitate training of partner camp staff. (1%)
