About The Position

The Maintenance Control Coordinator performs the duties of a Maintenance Control Clerk and Aircraft Issuer/Dispatcher. This role is responsible for establishing and maintaining a maintenance system inspection schedule, assisting in assigning work priorities, and coordinating various maintenance actions including daily, turn-around, corrosion, and phase inspections, as well as aircraft washes, static display requests, and preservation/depreservation. The coordinator oversees the Configuration Management Program, authorizes cannibalization processes, screens maintenance actions for post-maintenance check flights, prepares aircraft readiness reports, and monitors high-time component tracking. Additionally, the position involves monitoring aircraft issuing/scheduling, verifying maintenance completion, releasing aircraft, and ensuring work center cleanliness while adhering to FOD prevention and Company Tool Control Programs. Off-site service on assigned detachments may also be required.

Requirements

  • Minimum of High school diploma or equivalent
  • Satisfactory completion of U.S. Armed Forces aviation maintenance courses or other schools with equivalent curriculum or five (5) years of on the job training and/or experience
  • Must be able to meet any Government/Company licensing/qualification requirements for the position
  • Five (5) years experience in military or civilian aviation maintenance/production control and scheduling
  • Must have a valid state DL
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain required clearance for contract
  • Formal or Specialized Training/Equivalent (to be obtained within the first six (6) months of start date)
  • Hazardous Waste Communications Training (to be obtained within the first six (6) months of start date)
  • FOD and TCP Awareness Trained (to be obtained within the first six (6) months of start date)
  • Security Clearance Awareness Training (to be obtained within the first six (6) months of start date)
  • OPNAV INST 4790.2 Program Awareness (to be obtained within the first six (6) months of start date)
  • ISO 9001-2000 Program Awareness (to be obtained within the first six (6) months of start date)
  • NALCOMIS (to be obtained within the first six (6) months of start date)
  • Valid State Drivers License (to be obtained within the first six (6) months of start date, or upon hire)
  • Support Equipment Operator License (to be obtained within the first six (6) months of start date)
  • Egress System Checkout (to be obtained within the first six (6) months of start date)
  • Release Aircraft Safe for Flight (to be obtained within the first six (6) months of start date)
  • Aircraft Towing Certified (to be obtained within the first six (6) months of start date)
  • Operational Risk Management (ORM) Training (to be obtained within the first six (6) months of start date)
  • Aircraft Brake Rider Certified (to be obtained within the first six (6) months of start date)

Responsibilities

  • Performs the duties and responsibilities of Maintenance Control Clerk and Aircraft Issuer/ Dispatcher classification
  • Establishes and maintains a maintenance system inspection schedule
  • Assists in assigning work priorities to maintenance actions
  • Schedules all maintenance actions to include, but not limited to: Coordinates dailies and turn-around inspections, 140 day corrosion inspections, Schedules aircraft for daily flight schedule, 28 day aircraft washes, Phase inspections, Transfer/acceptance inspections, Aircraft static display request, Preservation/depreservation
  • Oversees the Configuration Management Program
  • Authorizes cannibalization process
  • Maintain cleanliness of the work center and around your assigned work area
  • Responsible for adhering to all applicable Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention rules and regulations
  • Responsible for adhering to Company Tool Control Program
  • Tracks cannibalization and maintains liaison with Supply
  • Screens maintenance actions for post maintenance check flights requirements
  • Prepares aircraft readiness reports
  • Monitors high time component tracking program
  • Monitors aircraft issuing/scheduling to ensure daily schedule completion
  • Verifies completion of required maintenance by checking applicable maintenance forms
  • Releases aircraft or returns aircraft for completion of maintenance
  • May be required to perform off-site service on assigned detachments
