The invasive Cardiovascular Technologist is a critical member of the patient care team within the department, collaborating fully with other care team members to ensure continuity of care for patients. This role promotes a philosophy of patient/family-focused care in all interactions, focusing on understanding and meeting customer needs. The Cath Lab offers state-of-the-art technology including Philips and Siemens X-Ray systems, IVUS, OCT, and Intra Cardiac Echo (ICE). It also features a High Risk Coronary PCI Program (Intravascular Lithotripsy, Atherectomy, Impella, IABP and ECMO), a CTO Program, a Structural Program (TAVR, Pulmonic, Mitral and Tricuspid Valve therapies, ASD/PFO closure and a robust Adult Congenital Heart program), a Peripheral Program (Carotid stenting, Balloon Pulmonary Angioplasty (BPA), Pulmonary Embolism Thrombectomy and EKOS), and a Pediatric Program in collaboration with Boston Children’s Hospital Cath Lab.
