JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 WORK SHIFT: Monday - Friday: 7:30a - 4:00p JOB SUMMARY: Person will act as a support in the technical and clinical operations in the Cath Lab, CVO, and Cardiology. Duties include, but not limited to: Transporting patients, stocking rooms, assisting with inventory control, cleaning room in between cases, cleaning equipment, housekeeping duties, clerical duties, and performing EKG’s. This position requires a high amount of close patient contact throughout the day in order to provide needed assistance to the Cath Lab staff. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent required. Must possess excellent customer service skills; must demonstrate self-direction in work projects; must have positive team building attitude; able to work flexible hours. Current BLS certification through any International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) provided courses such as but not limited to: Ochsner Health System, American Heart Association, and American Red Cross. The ILCOR course must include a manikin check off PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. Lifting up to 20 pounds is required. Must be able to work with a moderate level of noise. Physical Effort required: Constant (67%-100%) – lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, reaching, handling/feeling, hearing, seeing Frequently (34%-66%) – climbing (stairs, ladders, poles, etc.), balancing, stooping, crouching, talking Occasionally (1%-33%) – crawling EMPLOYMENT Each St. Tammany Health System staff member is expected to conduct himself or herself according to our mission, vision and values.
