Requirements

One-year certificate or Associates degree from a community college or technical school
Two to four years mechanical experience or equivalent education and experience.

Responsibilities

Complete repair solutions for generators & automatic transfer switches, on Cat and non-Cat branded systems
Performing preventative and corrective maintenance of standby generator systems 5 KW through 3200 KW
Knowledge of automatic transfer switches and control logic
Troubleshooting and diagnosing emergency repair procedures of AC/DC controls
Troubleshooting and diagnosing gas and diesel industrial engines
Reading and understanding wiring diagrams and schematics
Providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers
Working independently with minimal daily supervision
Load Bank testing – Resistive and Reactive 25kW to 4,000kW
Complete Fluid Analysis for record keeping and engine component wear monitoring to increase equipment lifecycle
Emissions testing and analyzing Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) – installations and retrofitting, core cleaning and annual testing
Always working in a safe manner
