About The Position

We are looking for a talented Field Service Power Generation Technician to join our team specializing in Power Generation in Austin, TX. $5000 Sign on Bonus! In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: Completing preventative maintenance and/or basic repair activities on generators or components at the customer site with minimal direction. Engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner. Applying the use of specialized tools and following documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete basic repairs, including preparing required parts and tools. Completing required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims via handwritten forms or business system input screens. Completing training in line with skill and business requirements. Adhere to all our relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to their supervisor.

Requirements

• Must be able to work by themselves with little supervision
• Must be able to read a multi meter to detrimine AC voltage
• DOT
• A CDL may be required to obtain upon hire
• Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older
• A current valid license is required for this role
• This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
• This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical
• 3 years driving experience
• This role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use -Federal law requires operators of commercial vehicles to be 21 years of age or older, applicant must be 21 years of age
• Minimal level of workshop related experience required.
• Basic level knowledge of and/or experience with power generation products
• High Voltage/ Low Voltage experience

Nice To Haves

• Apprentice Trained Power Generation/ Electrical Technician (Preferred)
• Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
• Current relevant electrical certification
• Load bank Experience
