Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • A minimum of 6 months of experience in a food service and one year in a customer service role.
  • Able to speak clearly and effectively before groups in English, as well as listen attentively to staff, patients, peers, supervisors, and guests
  • Able to read and write English to facilitate the communication process
  • Basic computer skills; familiar with Outlook, Word and Excel documents.
  • Able to navigate websites for ordering
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formatting
  • Servsafe Certification, or obtained within 3 months of employment

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual Spanish Speaking Skills desired
  • One year as a supervisor in food services
  • Patient Programs Certification

Responsibilities

  • Responsible to coordinate patient meal service; e.g., menu selections, tray assembly, tray delivery and pick up, special requests and needs for Catering to You Program.
  • Ensures employees are adequately trained and units are properly staffed to provide service.
