Catering Service Worker 1 (Driver) - The Morton Arboretum
About The Position
Signature Events at The Morton Arboretum is looking for responsible catering event drivers to transfer food, beverage, and equipment to and from kitchen and warehouse locations to on-premises venues during catering events. This position is scheduled based on event schedule and could require morning, daytime, and evening shift hours. The catering event driver is crucial to the success of our catering operations so they must present themselves in a professional and safe manner to ensure customer satisfaction. Opportunity for overtime during peak season May- October pending event schedule.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Must be able to carry up to 50LBS.
Nice To Haves
- Current food handler’s certification (ServSafe) is a plus
Responsibilities
- Packing, loading, and unloading company delivery vans and trucks.
- Delivering food, beverage, and equipment to designated locations.
- Following designated routes and delivery times.
- Maintaining regular communication with direct supervisor and culinary team members.
- Obtain delivery confirmation from direct supervisor.
- Occasionally help the culinary team to execute events.
- Clean and service vehicles for the next delivery.
