The Catering Server is responsible for providing high-quality food and beverage service during events such as weddings, corporate meetings, conferences, and banquets. The role includes setting up event spaces, serving guests efficiently and professionally, and ensuring a positive dining experience for all attendees.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or banquet service preferred.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods.
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude.
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30–40 pounds.
  • Ability to stand and move for long periods during events.

Responsibilities

  • Set up banquet rooms according to event specifications, including tables, chairs, linens, glassware, and place settings.
  • Greet guests and provide courteous and professional service throughout the event.
  • Serve food and beverages following proper service standards.
  • Clear plates, glasses, and utensils promptly and maintain cleanliness during the event.
  • Assist with buffet setup and replenishment if applicable.
  • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Respond quickly to guest requests and communicate special needs to supervisors.
  • Work closely with kitchen staff, event coordinators, and other team members to ensure smooth service.
  • Break down and clean banquet rooms after events.
  • Maintain a neat and professional appearance at all times.
