About The Position

Georgia Boys BBQ currently operates three very high volume, popular BBQ locations in Longmont, Frederick and Greeley, Colorado. In addition to full service restaurants, we have an incredibly successful catering operation. We have deployed hundreds of catering events ranging from groups of 20 all the way up to huge corporate events serving up to 1200 guests. Our catering program consists of buffet style, award winning Southern BBQ and scratch-made sides; known for exceptional customer service and our signature Southern charm. This is a fun, flexible position that allows folks the opportunity to work as frequently as their schedule and preference allows. Shift availability will vary week to week, with Summer being our busiest season. Our catering team will often have events scheduled a month in advance, but are also given the opportunity to pick up same-week shifts as they arise. We offer catering services ranging from drop-offs with simple set up, to full-service events; residential deliveries, office lunches, wedding venues, and everything in between.

Requirements

  • 21 or older with a valid driver’s license to drive company vehicles.
  • Be willing to participate in a background and motor vehicle record check.
  • Prior service industry experience (previous catering knowledge desired, but not necessary)
  • Must have current Food Handler certification. This certification can be completed during training.
  • Ability and eagerness to HUSTLE!! This can be a fast paced and often physically demanding role.
  • Time management, organization and attention to detail are a must.
  • You will be required to be on your feet for extended periods of time, and possibly walk extended distances. Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
  • Bend and climb stairs.
  • Assist with the loading and unloading of vehicles.
  • Ability to work indoor and outdoor events, in a wide range of climates
  • Frequently lift/carry up to 25 lbs. (Team lift is expected)
  • Occasionally lift/carry up to 50 lbs. (Team lift is required)

Responsibilities

  • Be available to pick up catering deliveries and work catering events on an “as needed basis”
  • Have a flexible schedule with a commitment of picking up 1-2 minimum shifts per week. (Shifts can range from 3 to 8 hours)
  • Work out of the Longmont, Frederick and/ or Greeley locations
  • Adaptable, resourceful. Great team player, also confident to work independently.
  • Excellent communication, timeliness, and dependability are of utmost importance.
  • Maintain professional appearance and demeanor
  • Use a detailed checklist to pack equipment and food
  • Set up, execution, and break down of events
  • Some cleaning and equipment management
  • Professional and enthusiastic interactions with all parties involved in events (restaurant staff, clients, venues, vendors, guests).
