About The Position

Key Responsibilities: Actively solicit and respond to wedding, social, and other local opportunities, conduct site tours, and close contracts to meet or exceed revenue goals. Build relationships and work with clients to understand their event needs, budgets, and preferences that align with their vision and expectations from the initial meeting through the end of their events. Coordinate logistical aspects of events ensuring seamless execution and a positive guest experience through the detailed Event Orders (EOs). Build and maintain strong relationships with event planners, corporate clients, and wedding coordinators to drive catering revenue and repeat business. Collaborate with other resort departments (e.g., housekeeping, food & beverage, and front desk) to ensure that all event needs are met and the guest experience is flawless. Handle client feedback, resolve issues or concerns promptly, and ensure customer satisfaction for all catered events. Monitor market trends, competitor offerings, and industry innovations to keep Marriott Pompano Beach's catering services fresh and competitive. Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of experience in catering sales, event planning, or food and beverage management, with at least 1 year in a luxury resort or hotel environment. Proven ability to execute high-quality, memorable events for a diverse clientele, including corporate, social, and wedding events. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a focus on exceptional customer service. Experience in budgeting and pricing for catering and events. Strong knowledge of food and beverage menus and standards. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to oversee events and meet client needs. Proficiency in event planning and catering software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant systems, Proficiency in Marriott's CI/TY preferred.

Requirements
