About The Position

Love turning a blank banquet room into someone's most memorable event? We're looking for a catering sales pro who can sell, plan, and deliver — all while making clients feel like the only ones in the room. What You’ll Do From the first inquiry to the final toast, you'll own the full catering sales experience. You'll build lasting client relationships, drive revenue across social and corporate events, and partner closely with our banquet and food & beverage teams to make every event flawless.

Requirements

  • Leadership experience managing a hotel sales team ( 1–3 preferred).
  • Strong background in full-service hotel sales, large events, and catering operations.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Hotel Sales Pro experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Marriott experience strongly preferred; Autograph Collection or other premium brand experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Sell & book catering events
  • Drive Full-Service Group & Catering Business
  • Coordinate with banquet & F&B teams
  • Develop new catering accounts : Captures competitor's accounts through networking, research and reader board surveys in order to target and solicit those most probable to generate new business.
  • Key Account Management: Maximizes current hotel key accounts by identifying and capturing those that offer revenue growth.
  • Acquires referrals from existing accounts: Follows up on all leads within 48 hours of receipt in an effort to create new business for the hotel, and, when appropriate, sends leads to other Greenwood hotels.
  • Plans and implements an on-going Targeted Account Development "hit list" in order to create new revenue and acquire valuable hotel contacts, and contracts.
  • Continually targets and prospects for new business through telemarketing, individual creativity and innovation.
  • Develops customer profiles and maintains an effective trace system, including trace dates and references, in order to best meet client needs, resulting in superior account service and increased revenues.
  • Product Knowledge: Conducts research, surveys, personal investigation and studies market place and territory in order to effectively capitalize on the hotel's strengths and competitor's weaknesses and capabilities.
  • Exhibits a positive and involved team attitude to all hotel departments and maintains open communications with all co-workers for the best overall performance of the hotel.
