Join our dynamic team as a Catering Sales Manager at the North Charleston Embassy Suites, where you will be a driving force in elevating our catering revenue! This role is pivotal as we undergo an exciting full renovation, set to be completed by April 2025. You will embody our core values and demonstrate a proactive approach in the market, ensuring that every group you book experiences exceptional, personalized service. Your contributions will be essential in maximizing catering opportunities and enhancing guest satisfaction. As a Catering Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving catering revenue by identifying and capitalizing on opportunities that align with our property's strategic plan. You will take charge of detailing and servicing all groups you've personally booked, ensuring an outstanding experience. Meeting and exceeding personal and hotel revenue targets will be a key focus, along with prospecting for new business through diverse methods including phone calls, community events, internet research, and strategic partnerships. In this role, you will develop and refine catering sales action plans to drive growth and success. Building strong relationships with vendors, local community members, catering associations, and internal departments (Sales, Kitchen, and Operations) will be crucial to ensuring top-notch guest satisfaction. You will also oversee contract minimums and manage the collection of attrition and cancellation fees, while providing accurate revenue and expense forecasts in accordance with established guidelines. Additionally, you will perform any other tasks necessary to fulfill the primary purpose of the role.
