About The Position

As a member of our hospitality team, the primary responsibility of a Catering Sales Manager is to proactively seek and secure group and catering opportunities, driving revenue growth and customer loyalty. This role requires a skilled negotiator, who will build strong customer relationships, and deliver service excellence with each guest experience. The ability to work collaboratively, negotiate effectively, and identify new business opportunities will contribute to the continued success and growth of our catering sales department and the overall success of our hospitality team. Demonstrates a thorough understanding of PCH Standards, hotel Brand Standards, and the operational aspects of business bookings, ensuring adherence to high-quality service delivery. Collaborates seamlessly with the hotel service team, fostering a culture of exceptional customer service and teamwork.

Requirements

  • Strong negotiation skills and creative selling abilities.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the market, including competitors' strengths and weaknesses.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with hotel service teams.
  • Experience in hospitality or sales environment.

  • Experience with Marriott Global Source.
  • Previous experience in catering sales or event management.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify, qualify, and solicit new group/catering business to achieve personal and hotel revenue goals.
  • Build strong customer relationships and deliver service excellence with each guest experience.
  • Negotiate hotel services and execute PCH's Group Sales Agreement for each business opportunity.
  • Act as the primary customer liaison during events and programs, ensuring overall customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct site inspections to showcase the hotel's facilities and services.
  • Prepare and create contracts as required for successful business transactions.
  • Monitor same-day selling procedures to maximize room revenue and manage hotel occupancy levels.
  • Utilize Marriott Global Source for valuable resources and information to enhance sales effectiveness.
  • Engage with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.
  • Review meeting planner results to gauge guest satisfaction levels and seek opportunities for service performance improvement.
