About The Position

The Catering Sales Coordinator at the Chattanooga Convention Center is responsible for providing clerical functions and administrative support for food service programs. This role involves coordinating schedules, managing client communications, and assisting with financial documentation, all while ensuring a high level of service and collaboration with culinary and sales teams.

Requirements

  • Entry-level position with a focus on clerical and administrative support.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Proficiency in using computers for data entry and financial reconciliation.

Responsibilities

  • Answer telephones and direct inquiries in a professional and client-centric manner.
  • Accurately enter BEOs and finalize details.
  • Assist in coordinating FOH schedules.
  • Collaborate with Culinary and Sales Team in creating menus.
  • Maintain confidential client files.
  • Assist management staff in preparing confidential employment and labor relations documents.
  • Assist with staffing, including finding staff when employees call out on short notice.
  • Work effectively and maintain good working relationships with co-workers and supervisors.
  • Complete and maintain accurate records of students eligible for free and reduced priced lunches if applicable.
  • Enter weekly cash sales and meal counts using computer.
  • Perform daily bank deposit reconciliation.
  • Process vendor invoices for payment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with bid specifications.
  • Perform monthly vendor statement reconciliation.
  • Prepare monthly state claim form for reimbursement.
  • Assist in preparation of end of month financial reports.
  • Attend in-service and/or safety meetings as required.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment; ability to perform job safely.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
