The Catering Manager is responsible for the efficient day-to-day management of the kitchen. Leadership and team participation are essential to provide a quality catering service to our children, young people, and staff. The role includes the overall management of dining centre kitchens as well as the production kitchen. This position involves executing skilled cooking activities, managing food service operations, ensuring compliance with food safety legislation, managing deliveries and stock, overseeing kitchen equipment, and promoting the catering service. The manager is also responsible for people management, including supervising and directing staff, participating in HR processes like interviewing and disciplinary actions, conducting staff inductions and training, and managing staff performance. Financial responsibilities include monitoring unit performance, managing costs, completing clerical duties, handling cash transactions, and managing all resources.
