About The Position
The Catering Kitchen Assistant at Callie's Hot Little Biscuit plays a crucial role in executing catering orders and supporting the production team in the preparation of biscuits and other menu items. This full-time position is based in North Charleston, SC, and reports directly to the Production Manager. The assistant will be involved in various aspects of catering, including the preparation of menu items for food truck and catering events, as well as assisting in teaching biscuit-making classes to clients. The role is designed for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment and possess strong customer service skills. In this position, the Catering Kitchen Assistant will be responsible for reading and following recipes to ensure that all food items meet company standards. This includes preparing biscuits, cheese crisps, and biscuit crackers, as well as leading the execution of catering events. The assistant will also be tasked with quality control, ensuring that all products are up to standard before they are delivered to clients. Additionally, the role requires the assistant to assist in training new employees on baking techniques and kitchen cleanliness, promoting a culture of gratitude and teamwork within the kitchen. The work environment is dynamic, with varying weekly schedules that may require weekend work. The assistant must be flexible and able to adapt to changing demands, ensuring that all catering orders are fulfilled efficiently and effectively. This position may also be eligible for tips, providing an additional incentive for excellent service and performance.
