About The Position

The Catering Event Specialist provides support to catering operations by partnering closely with the Manager of Catering Services in the execution of catering events to ensure events are set-up according to client's specifications, customers' needs are met, and expectations are exceeded during special events Full Time Role with complete benefits. occasional nights and weekends are required.

Requirements

  • Ability to read work assignments and to communicate with residents/staff through verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to perform full scale set up and breakdown of the event with close attention to detail
  • Understand state and local sanitation policies and procedure
  • Ability to serve and handle a variety of foods including meat, poultry, seafood, dairy and eggs
  • Ability to deliver superior customer service
  • Ability to work independently with minimal or no direct supervision
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule according to catering needs, including occasional evenings and weekends
  • High School Diploma or Equivalency or combination of education and experience to fulfill requirements and essential duties of the position
  • Catering, Hospitality and/or Special Event experience

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of long-term care environment
  • Ability to serve alcohol and mixed drinks (must be a minimum age of age 18 to serve alcohol and 21 to pour alcohol)
  • ServSafe Certification
  • One or two years directly related work experience
