About The Position

The Catering Driver (Crew Level 1) supports Olive & Finch's catering operations by accurately packaging orders and delivering them to client locations using their personal vehicle. This entry-level, guest-facing role is responsible for ensuring catering orders are complete, on time, and presented with care. Drivers must maintain their own valid auto insurance and reliable transportation. In addition to delivery, this role supports basic catering preparation and logistics in collaboration with kitchen and events teams.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle required.
  • Proof of current personal auto insurance required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and carry catering equipment and food trays.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable providing guest-facing service.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Availability for mornings, weekends, and occasional evenings as needed.

  • Previous delivery, catering, or hospitality experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Package catering orders accurately according to BEOs and order details.
  • Verify all food, beverages, utensils, and service items are included prior to departure.
  • Label, organize, and stage orders for efficient loading and delivery.
  • Assist with basic prep, finishing, and packing as needed.
  • Safely transport catering orders using personal vehicle to client locations in a timely manner.
  • Provide friendly, professional service to clients at delivery.
  • Set up basic food and beverage displays when required (boxed meals, buffets, beverage stations).
  • Communicate any delays, issues, or client feedback to management promptly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of personal vehicle when used for deliveries.
  • Follow all traffic laws and company delivery procedures.
  • Assist with loading and unloading catering items.
  • Support kitchen and events teams during non-delivery hours, including prep, cleaning, and organization.
  • Assist with breakdown and return of catering equipment when applicable.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and handling procedures.
  • Uphold Olive & Finch service standards and brand values at all times.
