Requirements

  • Highly effective at communicating guest needs.
  • Mathematical skills, computer aptitude and overall hotel operation knowledge.
  • Ability to effectively sell, plan, coordinate and execute all needs of a Group in preparation of their stay. Service Groups by planning, obtaining pertinent information and communicating event related information to hotel team in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Ability to work well with a wide variety of Groups and clients – Social, Corporate, Association and Wine markets.
  • Multi-tasks well and must thrive in fast-paced, goal-oriented environment, established in tandem with Director of Sales.
  • Flexible and works positively under pressure and change.
  • Ability to up-sell through knowledge of available products, providing alternative suggestions for maximum revenue.
  • Proven catering experience a must with knowledge of local area food sources and wine.
  • Detail oriented, accurate and thorough work.
  • Displays high standards, fostering trust and cooperation among fellow team members and guests.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings and holidays.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all team members.
  • An enthusiastic, positive demeanor and desire to provide exceptional guest service.
  • Successful passing of a pre-employment background check
  • Ability to bend and lift up to 50 pounds of heavy wine, boxes, supplies.
  • Ability to carry up to 25 pounds across the distance of the various dining areas.
  • Ability to reach with hand and arms, sit, stand, walk, use stairways to climb throughout the property, be in refrigerated areas and to talk or hear.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • The noise level is moderate.
  • The work environment has frequent temperature swings as the team member moves between guest spaces, outdoors and refrigerators for example.

Responsibilities

  • Passionate about providing genuine hospitality and desire to consistently exceed guest expectations.
  • Coordinates all aspects of a Groups needs for both catering / meeting only events as well as servicing Groups turned over from the Sales team.
  • Provides superior guest service, product and value to client.
  • Primary contact for Group client while onsite during event.
  • Follows up regularly on status of meeting & meal functions in conjunction with Banquet Manager and Executive Chef to ensure function exceeds guest expectations.
