About The Position

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The position involves serving food to guests with a high level of customer service, understanding and practicing teamwork, maintaining high standards of safety and cleanliness, and striving to provide guests with a memorable experience by anticipating their needs. Responsibilities also include assisting with collecting banquet equipment, preparing event rooms, setting tables, establishing positive client relationships, maintaining accurate cash handling procedures, ensuring health codes are followed, preparing food and beverages, and adhering to alcohol serving regulations. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

• Must have attention to detail.
• Must have good oral and written communication skills and understand instructions and guest requests.
• Must have strong customer service skills.
• Must have basic math skills.
• Must be able to adapt to changes in the work environment, managing competing demands, frequent changes, delays or unexpected events.

Responsibilities

• Serve food to guests with high level of customer service.
• Understand and practice the concept of teamwork.
• Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness in all areas.
• Strive to provide guests with a memorable experience and exceed their expectations by anticipating their needs.
• Assist with collecting all banquet equipment including flatware, china, glassware, and serving pieces needed for each event.
• Assist with preparation and set-up of event room when necessary.
• Prepare tables with place settings as instructed.
• Establish and maintain positive client relationships.
• Maintain accurate cash handling procedures at all times.
• Ensure health codes are followed.
• Prepare food and beverage for customers.
• Follow all rules and regulations for serving alcohol.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
