About The Position

As a Catering Chef at Flik Hospitality Group, you will oversee the Culinary Department for a high-volume corporate dining account in Boston, MA. This role involves supervising catering events, preparing and cooking various food items, and developing daily menu items. You will work closely with the Executive Chef to ensure the successful execution of catering services while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.

Requirements

• A.S. or equivalent experience.
• At least 3-5 years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience, depending upon formal degree or training.
• High-volume catering experience is required.
• High-volume, sophisticated food service operations experience is highly desirable.
• Institutional and batch cooking experience is useful.
• Extensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
• Experience with computers, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, E-mail, and the Internet.
• Willingness to participate in client satisfaction programs/activities.
• ServSafe certification is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Chef with handling cost controls and controlling expenditures for the account.
• Assist the Executive Chef with planning and crafting menus.
• Produce and execute catering events.
• Roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with the Company marketing and culinary team.
