Wedgewood Weddings is seeking a talented and driven Part-Time Banquet Prep Cook to join their team, focusing on creating unforgettable culinary experiences at weddings and memorable events. The role involves supporting the chef in all culinary operations, from purchasing and receiving to preparation and full event execution, while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation, cleanliness, and food safety throughout the kitchen and event spaces. The Prep Cook is also responsible for ensuring every dish meets Wedgewood Weddings' quality standards and delights guests with its flavors and creativity, working collaboratively with the culinary team for a seamless event experience. Requirements

  • Proven track record in banquet, catering, or high-volume restaurant settings.
  • Expertise in implementing and upholding safety and sanitation best practices.
  • Thorough understanding of proper food handling, preparation, and presentation techniques.
  • Willingness to take on any task necessary to ensure the success of each event.
  • Ability to perform at a high level in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the chef in all culinary operations, from purchasing and receiving to preparation and full event execution.
  • Maintain the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Uphold the strictest standards of cleanliness and food safety throughout the kitchen and event spaces.
  • Ensure every dish meets Wedgewood Weddings' quality standards and delights our guests with its flavors and creativity.
  • Work collaboratively with the culinary team to create a seamless, synchronized event experience.
  • Assist the chef in executing banquets according to Banquet Event Order details and Wedgewood's established standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen by following comprehensive cleaning procedures throughout the day and participating in weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual deep cleaning.
  • Receive deliveries from approved suppliers, carefully inspecting all items to ensure freshness, quality, and compliance with company standards.
  • Stock all food items according to strict food safety protocols and FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures, ensuring proper labeling and rotation.
